Oncology NP/PA – Infusion Center (Locum Position)

Location: Kaiser Permanente – Santa Clara Medical Center

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (No Call)

Duration: 3-6 Month Commitment

Job Overview

Kaiser Permanente – Santa Clara Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Oncology NP/PA to provide temporary coverage in the Oncology Infusion Center.

Setting & Responsibilities

• Clinic-based role in the Oncology Infusion Center
• Primary duties include:
• Managing patient calls and triaging inquiries
• Assisting in the Infusion Center with patient needs
• Handling blood work, IVs, hydration, medication orders, and chemotherapy orders
• RN staff will administer infusions
• Patient Volume: Estimated 10-20 patient interactions per day – mainly all calls – may see 2-4 patients daily in person in the infusion center. Infusion triaging, in basket coverage, and ER triaging.

Work Environment & Support Staff

• Team Support: RNs, LVNs, and Oncologist Physicians available
• No leukemia cases—patients are referred to local providers, Roseville, or Stanford for treatment

Requirements

• Board Certification in Oncology or Hematology
• Experience in an (Hematology/Oncology would be beneficial)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• COVID-19 Vaccination + Booster required
• Ability to complete credentialing (45-60 days estimated)
