Job Description:

Hi Desert Continuing Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team in Joshua Tree, CA. This position offers a stable schedule with guaranteed hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care and support under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
• Administer medications, monitor patient health, and provide wound care and other treatments as prescribed.
• Document nursing assessments, care provided, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and follow established protocols.

Requirements:

• Active California LVN license in good standing.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of LVN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and commit to every other weekend.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
